PT Active Start Program Coordinator

This position is located in Calgary, Alberta and reports directly to the General Manager and Board of Directors. The Active Start Coordinator is responsible for organizing and running the Active Start (Preschool) Program. The role is accountable for working within the Club’s vision, mission, policies, procedures and goals set forth by the Leadership Team. Specifically, the Active Start Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with all matters relating to the Active Start Program (schedules, coaches, equipment safety & maintenance, supervision, coaching etc.). As well as, ensuring the programs are of the highest quality with a high return on investment.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Coach Active Start program as determined by Management (to adhere to payroll budgets)
  • Organize class groups and structures
  • Supervising Active Start coaches (coach attendance, education, behavior & discipline)
  • Responsible for Active Start Coaches development and coaching skills through leadership and mentoring
  • Work with the Recreational Program Coordinator to run, plan and staff Birthday Parties, Usergroups, Summer Camps,Drop-In programs, special workshops & events
  • Set up and put away all gym equipment and ensure equipment is safe, organized, clean and well maintained
  • Supervise athletes in a safe and effective manner
  • Assist with registrations and customer service where necessary
  • Follow Employee Handbook and stay up to date on changes
  • Assist in developing Lesson Plans, goals for program, theme weeks, music etc.
  • Promote and support the gym by presenting a positive, professional attitude

Qualifications

  • NCCP Level 2 certified (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid first aid and CPR Certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of physiology, physical development and gymnastics safety
  • Police Security clearance
  • Compassionate caring individual who enjoys working with children
  • Knowledge of the adopted programs set out by AGF and GCG

PT Competitive T&T Coach 

The Altadore Gymnastic Club is currently looking for a part-time Competitive Trampoline and Tumbling Coach for its growing program. Altadore Gyymnastic Club is a recreational and competitive Gymnastics and T & T Club in Calgary, Alberta. Since 1967, we’ve been offering fun classes and high level competitive training to Calgary and area athletes.

*Would involve weekday evening coaching (no weekends other than competitions and camps).

*Would involve coaching Developmental and Provincial 1 to 4 athletes.

*Must have NCCP Level 2 Trampoline minimum.

*6-12 hours a week.

Recreational Coach

Altadore Gymnastics club is seeking experienced recreational coaches. We offer a wide variety of recreational programs for kids aged 6 months to adult. We use the CanGym/CanJump program which is designed to promote FUN, FITNESS and FUNDAMENTALS.

Qualifications:
– Minimum NCCP Foundations/Level 1 Coaching Certified (or willingness to obtain training)
– Good leadership and communication skills
– Possess knowledge of physiology, physical development and gymnastic safety
– Familiar or willing to familiarize with the adopted programs set out by the AGC club or the Alberta Gymnastics Federation or Gymnastics Canada
– Possess a valid First Aid and CPR certificate
– Compassionate, caring individual who enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities
